Comment: We upgraded to the 9000 from the 5000 to minimize reverb and echoing. The picture quality is great, very clear with good sound. Nice sleek design, sits on top of our laptop or table top with minimal adjusting. Compatible with the Windows XP operating system on our laptop and Windows Live messenger. Just need to get my Mother one on her end!

Comment: I hadn't wanted to get a new Web Camera, but by changing from Windows XP to Vista, I was forced to because Logitech doesn't have a driver that will work properly with Vista on my desktop computer. After the change to the QuickCam Pro 9000, I observed that its quality, features and performance are better than the QuickCam Communicate that it replaced. All told I am satisfied with my purchase. Amazon.com had one of the best prices.

Do not expect 8MP pictures as real 8MP in cameras. This is no fault of the company; the definition for resolution in the webcams should be changed.
Still expensive.
